In the Mayor’s Kitchen: Mayor Walsh on Boston’s Triumphs and Challenges

Mayor Marty Walsh sat down for an interview earlier this year as part of the One Day in Boston project. He spoke from his house in Savin Hill about what makes Boston a great city, and how it must improve over the next few years. Cameras also followed him The short video also has some great aerial shots of the area around the Savin Hill Red Line station, Dorchester, and Downtown.

He said, “I think the biggest challenge in Boston right now is probably dealing with the issue around poverty. A lot of things spin off of that, you know, achievement gap problems and lack of employment problems.”
